Congratulations to Adam (8ST) who was selected to play for England at the European Youth Chess Championships in Tallinn Estonia.
Congratulations to the following athletes, who competed against ten schools across Guildford and Godalming and came first!
Freya, Eva, Emma, Rebecca, Beatrice , Kitty, Sophia and Evie.
The team is now through to the Hampshire and Surrey School finals in February 2020.
Congratulations to Filip, Thomas, Nicky and Alex who came third in the boys' freestyle relay team (Year 10) at the National English Secondary School Association Swimming Championships.
Having bettered 170 team to qualify, the team scooped a bronze medal and managed to also beat fellow RGS and regular winners Plymouth College.
Mr Miller, Headteacher said "Congratulations to the team for their awesome achievement in the national freestyle. To perform at this level takes an immense amount of training and commitment and we are very proud of them all. I would like to thank their families too for their unrelenting support and enthusiasm. The boys are great role models and wonderful ambassadors for their sport and school."
This event will start at 7.30pm in St Cecilia’s Theatre.
The Year 12 Charity Team are collecting donations for a charity this winter known as The Number Five Project. This organisation provides a secure living space for the homeless people of Guildford, offering a warm bed, meal and one-to-one support and advice to help them get back on their feet. Number Five Project has also requested gift vouchers for Costa, Primark and the cinema as well as Mobile Phone top up cards. All items can be brought in to each tutor room before collection on the 13th December.
